Emma Hardie Amazing Face Cleansing Balm Review

I first heard about the Emma Hardie Amazing Face Cleansing Balm on the Pixiwoo youtube video they did with Caroline Hirons. I wondered to myself "What is this expensive balm stuff and what could it do for my skin?".

Basically it is a balm cleanser. I now use this at night to remove all my make-up (revolutionary!) and clean my face in the process.

~ I fill a bowl with warm water and put in my flannel/muslin cloth to soak and heat up a little.

~ Take a pea size lump (technical term) and spread it on my forehead, cheeks and chin. I then take a few drops of water and mix the remainder of the balm on my fingers to a white looser balm and clean my entire face including my eyes. My make up literally melts away. I massage my face a little to ensure all traces make up have gone.

~ Remove the balm with hot flannel/muslin cloth.

I wish you could smell this!

That's about it. It is so simple that I have stopped using (dreaded) make up wipes to take my make up off. Doing this method with water takes no more time and my face actually feels CLEAN afterwards.

This balm has a very strong fragrance. It smells luxurious, but it is intense. I wasn't sure if I liked it to begin with but it has grown on me, and the product is so good I can get over the smell.

The one thing I would say is be careful about removing your eye make up with this. Sometimes afterwards it feels like I have a film over my eyes and can't see very well for a few minutes. Not fun.

That's my only niggle.

I am so glad I tried this. If you are deciding whether or not to try it, go for it. You will not regret it. It is definitely worth spending the extra money to have this and I will definitely re-purchase when i need to. Also, hunt around for a good deal. This has a RRP of £32 for a 100ml tub. I got mine from the QVC website as they were doing a bundle of a 100ml pot, 50ml pot and sample of face serum for £33.95 including P&P.

I got my pots on the 19th May, and have been using the balm cleanser once a day, most days, and I have only used about a 1/3 of the 100ml pot and a couple of scoops out of the smaller 50ml pot (I take the little one with me when I travel). So that's 3 months to use a 1/3 of a pot so my little set should last me AGES.
